Ameerul Aizat (AA) graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with an LLB (Hons) before beginning his pupillage at Azzat & Izzat in 2015. He then joined Fahri & Co. (now known as Fahri, Azzat & Co.), completed his pupillage and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2016. In 2018, he became a member of the Federal Territories Syarie Bar before graduating with a Diploma in Shariah Legal Practice (DSLP) in 2019. Throughout his legal career, AA delved into the dark arts of Advocacy under his master, Fahri Azzat, and worked alongside him from 2016 until 2022.

While working with Fahri Azzat, AA had the opportunity to contribute written chapters to the Civil Procedure 2021 (White Book) and the second edition of Bullen & Leake & Jacob’s Malaysian Precedents of Pleadings. Aside from handling legal matters and writing for publications, he also conducted seminars and training programmes for a government agency to train their judicial and prosecution officers to carry out their statutory duties from 2018 to 2019.​

AA is highly skilled in (i) criminal defences and appeals, particularly for sexual offence cases and other offences such as murder, robbery, drug possession and trafficking, and white-collar crimes; (ii) civil litigation and Administrative & Constitutional Law such as tort cases, Judicial Review actions against public authorities (particularly against the Syariah Courts) involving religious issues and the constitutionality of Malaysian laws; (iii) non-contentious Letter of Administration & Probate and Faraid; (iv) Syariah litigation such as Syariah criminal defence, Islamic family law matters, particularly post-divorce ancillary claims, and disputed Hibah & Faraid matters. AA was also involved in several unprecedented and controversial renunciation cases in Malaysia.
